The Routemaster bus had been a staple of the public transport network in London for nearly half a century following its introduction in 1956.

TOWER BRIDGE



Wonderful architecture !!




Consisted of two towers, Tower Bridge connects The Borough (Southwark, south of the river, left of picture above) to the heart of the City of London Financial District.

Big Ben is indeed great! I like the Scottish Highlands, the snow-covered mountains (I'm not very fond of snow,though). They are not "an icon", however they've represented a lot to me since my childhood.

THE TELEPHONE BOX

The red telephone box, a public telephone kiosk designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, is a familiar sight on the streets of the United Kingdom, and despite a reduction in their numbers in recent years, red boxes can still be seen in many places. The colour red was chosen to make them easy to spot.

I think my favorite are the grenadier guards, who stay like a statue in the streets
